FREE EVENT: Business and the Greening of China

FREE EVENT: Business and the Greening of China

After years of breakneck development, China has turned to conservation and has developed ambitious plans to reduce carbon emissions and enact new corporate environmental standards. While the country is still the world's largest emitter of greenhouse gases, the government is working on a strategy for a new, greener economy. The move is creating entire new markets in renewable energy, transportation, forestry, water management, and other sectors.

What are the business opportunities? Barbara Finamore, author of a new book, Will China Save the Planet?, and founder of the China Program at the Natural Resources Defense Council, Damien Ma, a renewable energy expert and associate director of the Paulson Institute's Think Tank, and Gary Yang, CEO of UniEnergy Technologies will share insights on China's challenges and how business can profit from the battle China has launched on its environmental problems.
