Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) Announces Honorees For 31st Anniversary Awards Gala

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The Thurgood Marshall College Fund (TMCF) is proud to announce its 2018 award recipients, being honored for their commitment to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and their bold leadership in the higher education, corporate and legal communities. This will take place at TCMF's 31st Anniversary Awards Gala, October 29th in Washington, DC at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. TMCF's Anniversary Awards Gala is one of Washington's largest nonpolitical fundraising events, raising over $50 million since its inception in 1987.

The following distinguished individuals will be honored at this year's black-tie event: Glenda Baskin Glover, president of Tennessee State University, will receive the Educational Leadership Award. Dennis A. Muilenburg, chairman, president and chief executive officer of The Boeing Company, will receive the CEO of the Year Award. Leslie T. Thornton, senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary of WGL Holdings Inc. and Washington Gas, will receive the Thurgood Marshall Legacy Award.
