Nobel Nominated Crooner Cynthia Basinet Again Advocates to the United Nations on Behalf of Self Determination
NEW YORK - The iconic singer, actress, activist, Cynthia Basinet, best known for her sultry stylings and social influence returns to the United Nations for the 13th occasion on behalf of a cyber and media war on intellectual property affecting the Western Sahara and World.

From the UN official site:

"CYNTHIA BASINET, petitioner, said much of the peaceful Sahrawi resistance ‑ its intellectual property ‑ can be seen in the latest advertising by such companies as Nike and Capital One. "How much longer should Western Sahara be pawns and take it on the chin for the world's favourite celebrities, brands and their causes?" Such tactics have brought the world to the brink of "government by corporation", all wrapped up in a nice hashtag, she said. All people deserve to make a living from their own creativity, she stressed, noting that she has been bullied, berated and blacklisted for standing up for those rights and against corporate greed and the military industrial complex."

Cynthia visited the Western Sahara in 2001 in efforts to raise awareness for the Saharwian refugees living in peaceful self-determination.

She was subsequently nominated for a shared Nobel Peace Prize as part of the "1000 PeaceWomen Across the Globe" in 2005.

Always on the political and social forefront, Cynthia's supportive persona and far reaching impact has been embraced for decades by the media.

The LA native is best known for her jazzy pop songs on her CD "The Standard" hits like, "The Christmas Song", "It's Only A Paper Moon", "Going Out Of My Head" and the sultry hit, "Santa Baby" recorded in 1997 for love Jack Nicholson and often miscredited to Marilyn Monroe.

Her classic version can be heard in soundtracks and has been adored by fans since 1999, worldwide.

Cynthia's last single, "All Of Me" a dance anthem remix of John Legend's hit ballad recorded in 2014 has fans jumping to their feet.

She has spent the past few years writing, with her first book on civility out later this year.
